A Pimp and a Rec
First, a pimp:
If anyone needs to buy stocking stuffers for the holidays, or just a pressie for themselves, check out
thistlerose's Etsy story Oh Dinosaurs for some of the cutest earrings/necklaces/cell phone pendants going. I bought some for myself a few months ago, and modelled them in this post. Love. Go check it out.
Second, a rec:
I think, with all the holiday fests that have started posting and the general flail surrounding them, some stories that are written outside of fests tend to get overlooked. And so I wanted to share with you all this wonderful story I read last week:
Especially in the Month of June by
bribitribbit | PG, Neville gen | Six-year-old Neville Longbottom learns about his parents.
This story is absolutely gorgeous, and so very sad. Neville's six-year-old voice is amazing. The author captures his limited but profound understanding of things in an incredibly realistic way. This story also features an Augusta who is full of strength and fragility all at once. I love stories about Neville's relationship with his grandmother, and here we see it rendered beautifully.
