Random question

Flist, what would you call the sort of long, whispery grassy stuff that would grow wild on unkempt land, like in this picture?

Many thanks.

wild grass? tall grass?

I mean, generally it's one sort or another of grass or hay, isn't it? Wiki (here) has a couple of other words like switchgrass.

I'd say prairie grass, unless you want the actual name which something I can't remember right now. I can google it for you?

LOL I like [livejournal.com profile] bunney's comment. FUNNY.

I'd say wild, yellow grass.

Nope, prairie grass is the right name. That's what the tall looks-like-tangled-hair stuff is. ^^

Nope, prairie grass is the real name for it. ^^

wild grass. forgotten wheat fields. (but it would be more patchy). prairie grass sounds right. :-)
