Oh Feather, this is lovely and heartbreaking and had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. The way the story unfolds feels so inevitable -- the way Alastor and Amelia's characters evolve in ways that are logical for them both, and that will lead to their falling out, even though they never stop caring about each other. Ouch. And the way you flesh out the minor characters, like Mafalda, is just wonderful. Gorgeous work.
