Kingsley RPers?
This is a bit of an unnoficial casting call to see if anyone is interested in taking on Kingsley over at the AU RPG Merlin's Legacy on GJ. Crossposted in full from my entry over at ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
kingsleycentric, so appologies to those for whom the explanation is redundant.
Basically, the story is thus. ML, as you will see if you click the link to get more info, is a world in which witches are repressed, expected to learn minimal magic and have babies and be dutiful to their husbands.
I play Rita Skeeter over there (among other characters), and of course, she wouldn't have a bloody bar of that.
Her backstory is that she married Kingsley Shacklebolt pretty much straight out of school, because she didn't have much choice in the matter at all. Once married, however, she was bored and hated it and decided to do something about it. Thus, after using her time married to Kingsley to teach herself magic she's not supposed to know (like how to turn into an animagus), she che crafted and carried out a plan in which she framed Kingsley with running off with young men (homosexuality is illegal in this world - not in the game but in the world), destroyed his reputation completely, and divorced him.
This all happened about ten years prior to the year the game is in now, and Rita and Severus Snape have just filed for an official Ministry courtship, and been accepted.
I don't know for sure, but I imagine this would make Kingsley fairly bloody pissed off. What I was hoping was that someone might like the idea of taking him on and having him pop up now to make trouble for the happy couple.
As far as his current role and status goes in the wizarding world, I've deliberately tried to steer away from that because I've done enough damage to the character as it is, and I've always been hopeful that someone might want to take him on despite his battle scars. I imagine he may have gotten out of criminal charges because of his position, maybe lost his job or just been shunted to the back of the auror office like a muggle police officer put on traffic, but it's been ten years now so it would be up to whoever took him on to decide where he is now.
