Seattle!

Hello all,

I'm in Seattle with ooh_blah_blah and her flatmates and it's Very Fun Times. No, I'm not much of a tourist, so while I have been marvelling at the prettiness of the city and enjoying going out, I have little desire to see the things one is 'supposed' to see in this city. Actually, I don't even know what they are, aside from the Space Needle, which I might go to if I can find my way there today. Or I might just go wander around the U District again and drink more white coffee and visit Marina in her secondhand bookstore that also has cats.

We went sailing the other day, like, really sailing - WITH SAILS - on Lake Union, and it was sosososo beautiful. On Saturday we went to Vancouver and visited the museum and wandered around a lot. Yesterday, OOTP on IMAX, which was adjdgghgdfhjsgsfgsfsdfgshjshgsfdsdsgshsjs YAYE. I have to say, I loved it. Evanna and Imelda and omg Filch. I can't be arsed doing a spoiler cut so I shall not say much. Emma's eyebrows need to die. The last twenty minutes were in 3D, which was AWESOMESOCKS.

I have one more day here and then I'm flying to Minneapolis to meet chibitoaster, after which we will drive to Lincoln to see cocohufflepuffs.

Oooh, Seattle. I loved Seattle. And Portland, OR. And San Francisco. Oh, man, I'm so getting homesick--even though I lived in the southwest, so many of my friends lived in NoCal and the Pacific Northwest it felt like a second home.

Have a great vacation, and think of poor me in the boring Middle States....
