come over here to where when lingers

Can't you see where memories are kept bright?
Tripping on the water like a laughing girl.
Time in her eyes is spawning past life,
One with the ocean and the woman unfurled,
Holding all the love that waits for you here.
Catch us now for I am your future.
A kiss on the wind and we'll make the land.
Come over here to where When lingers,
Waiting in this empty world,
Waiting for Then, when the lifespray cools.
For Now does ride in on the curl of the wave,
And you will dance with me in the sunlit pools.
We are of the going water and the gone.
We are of water in the holy land of water
And all that's to come runs in
With the thrust on the strand.

Probably my favourite Kate Bush song ever:

That is all.

I love her music so very much.

Great song! I didn't know it yet - is it an older one? I love Kate Bush very much and always thought I know rather much of her songs, but that was back when there was no internet. I just saw that there are many more old albums than I know...

It's from the album Hounds of Love which was released in 1985.

She has more albums than I own, too. According to Wiki, she has 8 of them, but I've only got 4, so. Guess I should get downloading (legally, from iTunes, obviously.

Hounds of love I'm supposed to know, but it's one of those records (I had them still in vinyl, obviously) that suffered from one move too much. The recent album is lovely, but apart from that, I only remember The Kick inside and The red shoes, both of which we also have on CD. I'm still mostly bying compact discs, since despite loving my Ipod to bits, I'm rather annoyed by the difficulties of getting the content of my Itunes on a new installation. And since I'm installing my system anew at least once a year, it's sometimes easier just to import the CD once again instead of re-sorting all titles AGAIN.

Why do you have to reinstall your system each year?

I'm still fond of CDs, too. When I'm not being lazy, anyway. Peeling a new CD is a very satisfying experience, and I do enjoy the cover art and such as well. I've a mix of both, but I can't say I have any vinyl.

My first Kate Bush song was "Wuthering Heights", which got me interested since I was reading the novel at the time.
The video I don't know, and unfortunately it isn't displayed in my country, as are other youtube clips.

Why do you have to reinstall your system each year? More or less nerdiness, I suppose. Either I experiment with something, or want a clean system with no baggage in the registry, or had to replace some hardware and needed it anyway, or something. I used to have the Itunes on my Laptop, but this doesn't have enough free space any more.

The LPs are just kept in the basement for old time's sake, though we still have a working record player. I'm born '69, you see, so records was what we had in my teens and early twens. CDs took quite some time to get affordable.

Also, I love The Red Shoes. That song was how I discovered Kate in the first place, because of Miranda Richardson being in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9W9XTxbnWI&feature=related). \o/ fandom smoosh!
