Zebra, Mr.... Can I have your sweater?
Apr. 27th, 2005 08:16 pmOkay, that was one of my random Subject lines, just so I have something in my autocomplete that starts with 'Z'. I'm a bit insane.
Flist! Time to be all proud and plug yourselves a bit.
I'm sure, from time to time, we've all written things that we simply ADORE. I want to know your three favourite lines from your own fanfiction.
Here are mine.
"Her frustration and tension was palpable, and he took a sadistic delight in the ability to get this age old being into such a state. It affirmed for him that he was still the same infuriating bastard he had always been." -- Severus Snape, chapter 2 - 'Everybody's Fool', Menage-a-Trios
"A witch, without a wand, is just a woman." -- Minerva McGonagall, chapter 1, 'Lost and Found', School Of Second Chances - Part One: Minerva
That's actually it, really. They're the lines that stand out to me in my memory, as all time favourites. Searching through my fiction for a third one kind of defeats the purpose.
The only other probably comes from a piece of original fiction:
"I whimpered. Something in me broke – my self control, I suspect, cracked by something else – the ghost of a memory, and I betrayed that guttural, broken mewl to him. He became aware, as predators do, that my terror had paralysed me, like a deer in headlights, and he knew that he had beaten me before it even started." 'Cheryl', Opening Pistachios
So go on, flist, love yourselves.
P.S. I bought a tin of lemon drops today, just because it was an Alubusy thing to do. I'm so very sad. Know why he likes em, though *sucks* Mmm, lemoniness.
