Judi Dench, Nine

featherxquillLast weekend I hired Nine. I thought it was fantastic. Glittery and large and fun and wow what an interesting cast of women. I can see where it might have got negative reviews - they mention in the special features that they cast the film before they really wrote the characters, and thus every character is exactly who you would imagine her to be, based on her casting, which isn't particularly adventurous or ground-breaking, but damn, is it fun.
I haven't seen the original, so I have no idea how it compares to that. But I will say that the entire experience was worth it to see Judi Dench rocking this fabulous corset in her musical number.
I love this one. I'm considering playing with it a little and using it as a header.
And THIS BOY. I hate him, I think:
Just look at that smug little 'I'm being clutched to Judi's fabulous and rather generous bosom and I'm too young to appreciate it *at all*' look on his face.
