Please Mr Lizard, I want to save you
Oct. 28th, 2008 02:38 pmThere is a lizard in my room. I found him yesterday when I was getting ready for work. He scared the crap out of me then walked on the ketyboard of my laptop, before running under my bed where I couldn't get him. I didn't have time to rescue him, so I left a note for my folks to get him.
They couldn't find him, so he appears to have spent the night with me, seeing as he just now poked his head out from behind my dresser. Now we're playing a little game of hide and seek between my dresser and my bookcase and my pathetic attempts to be fast enough to catch him but gentle enough not to hurt him.
Does anyone speak lizard? I just want to tell him I'm trying to help him out to the garden before the cats who probably brought him in find him again!
ETA: After many fruitless attempts, he is now free in the garden! I hope I don't see him again (ie dead from cats). Go little lizard! You are crafty and sneaky and awesome and you were a great hide-and-seek opponent. May your future be free of cats and birds, but plentiful in insects and sunbeams.
