Oh, hon, I am so sorry that happened to you. I have been there several times, and nothing is more disheartening than being rather satisfied with the comment you have just written, clicking post, and having your computer/the internet swallow it into oblivion. I'm not going to pretend I'm not super-disappointed to not be able to read a 500 word Kelly-comment that I'm sure would have made me grin like a loon (I hope you're enjoying it, computer demons), but I totally, totally understand how hard it is to muster the energy to re-write something like that (and especially something that is so much based on reaction, rather than say, if you lost a chunk of fic or an RP post -- which is where my experience of comment eating comes from). You probably felt more like smashing your computer on the ground or throwing it out the window.
