Just got back from seeing GoF. Want to know what I thought? Read this AIM transcript between Chris and I.

severusyesohyes: A litle more Rita would have been good (ohmygod rita!), and I would have liked to have seen Snape's moment of glory, but apart from that, it was everything I could have wanted.

severusyesohyes: I can understand why they left out his part at the end, though, really.

severusyesohyes: In the book, the sight of the Dark Mark on his arm was somewhat of a shock, because it was the first dark mark we really knew Harry saw (on skin, I mean). In the film, though, it would have been like:

Sky: *dark mark*
crowd: *gasp*
Karkaroff: Look at my dark mark!
Harry: *gasp*
Wormtail: Agh my dark mark, it burns!
Harry and audience: *gasp*
Barty Crouch Jnr: I'll show you my dark mark!
Dumbledore and co: *gasp*
Snape: Look, I have a dark mark too!
All: Yeah, whatever.
Master x Severus: LOL
Master x Severus: everyone: Yeah, we saw that one coming....
severusyesohyes: Voldemort was amazing
severusyesohyes: And cedric's death was just as powerful as it was in the book
Master x Severus: The entire graveyard scene was amazing
severusyesohyes: I've never been opening night before. Laughed with a whole cinema full of people, clapped and cheered in moments with a whole crowd of people. Amazing atmosphere
Master x Severus: I'm going to see it again
Master x Severus: Cedric's death was really.. sad.. the acting was superb.. there were a couple of girls next to us who started sobbing
severusyesohyes: I will too. I'm not surw when, but I MUST see it again on the big screen
severusyesohyes: I teared up a little
severusyesohyes: It was just so... powerful. And so devestating in its bluntness, just as it was in the book.
Master x Severus: I think it was more powerful in the movie
severusyesohyes: Well, something liek that done visually is always goign to hit you harder
severusyesohyes: It probably depends, in text, just how visual your midn is. I very much see things when I read.

Master x Severus: Maybe I forget how I reacted..
severusyesohyes: There's something chilling about "kill the spare"
Master x Severus: No idea.. the fourth book was a long time ago
Master x Severus: It is chilling.. I'm trying to imagine what it would be like living in a world like that.. being part of something bigger than yourself.
severusyesohyes: They really conveyed that, I think. The Quiddich world cup scene was incredibly effective in that.

Master x Severus: I loved the whole opening into the movie..
Master x Severus: it was grand, exciting and overwhelming.

severusyesohyes: Also, the film is SO H/Hr
severusyesohyes: Blatantly.
Master x Severus: I honestly felt like jumping into the movie and running about with streamers with the rest of the kids.

Master x Severus: Not really.. I don't believe their hugging and confiding in one another was pointing towards that little pairing... There was only hype about it because of that Skeeter woman.
Master x Severus: Harry and Hermione really have always been friends..
severusyesohyes: I think the films are playing with fandom
