Just down the road from this Starbucks is the Duke of York theatre. It has a show on now called Eh Joe - a one man show, by the look of it, starring Michael Gambon.
I just booked me a ticket. 15 pounds, would you believe it? How awesome is that? It's not a wonderful seat, but who the hell cares? Michael Gambon in live theatre for 15 pounds? Awesome. It's on the 4th of July - my last night in London. Might as well go out with a bang, eh wot?
Yay Gambon! All I have to do now is find out where the stage door is - so I can get my program signed and tell him I loved 'Perfect Strangers' with my entire soul, and also maybe 'The Cook..." and 'Gosford Park'.
Now I must go. Damn Sunday trading. Starbucks closes in three minutes.
PS: if I meet him I promise not to ask him what its like to work with Helen Mirren, Miranda Richardson and Maggie Smith. I promise ;)

Date: 2006-07-02 11:48 pm (UTC)OH MICHAEL GAMBON!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ *fangirls like a proper fangirl* And oh god, 'Perfect Strangers' is just brilliance and oh, Michael Gambon. *cuddles*
I suppose this is how I should react to people meeting Heath Ledger or something. Ah well.
(Also, I finally got to see 'Gideon's daughter' - thankyou again - and loved our Miranda. And Bill Nighy! Man, there is not one middle-aged British thespian I would not shag. How sad is that?)
