I just checked my copy of GoF and there's no mention of the colour of the beetle. I suppose I always pictured her to be a green one, just because she seems to have a fondness for that colour, and because, I suppose, the melobasis miranda is a green/blue colour :).

And lol I half thought that in a not-serious way - 'not going to squash Rita going to save her and keep her away from cats yes'. Maybe she'll come though my window and reward me ;)
