Date: 2007-01-04 12:37 am (UTC)It's a 'freely inspired' (ie very fictionalised, I think) story about the writer/pilot Antoine Saint-Exupery, whose plane disappeared over the Meditarranean in 1944. It's about his life - childhood, love, et cetera. Miranda's character is his wife, Consuelo.
It's an odd little film, like Enchanted April, but I rather enjoyed it. There are all these interviews about Antoine's life peppered through the film, like documentary, but I think they're all actors.
Consuelo's entrance is brilliant. "I don't know you, why are you at my party?" and then "I'm bored. Dazzle me."
There is also a brilliant scene in a plane in which she refuses to kiss him until they're married, so he turns the engine off and lets the plane fall, telling her he won't turn it on again until she kisses him.
