Watched Keeping Up Appearances tonight. Dude. There is something wrong with my brain.

Someone, please to be taking this:

Hyacinth Bucket, Dolores Umbridge. Cucumber sandwiches, pink, kittens (S&M a bonus but not entirely necessary)

Ahem.

I will go back to bed now

That is so wrong and yet... I'd probably read it if you wrote it :P. Haha, I love "the Bucket woman".

Indeed.

And Hyacinth is such a dominatrix. I bet she's got a basement full of leather.

There must, somewhere in the world, be a padded cell with your name on it.

... Probably next door to mine, as I've been planning the cast for a Takarazuka version of HP. Rita and Snape were easy. The rest I'm having to think about.

Okay, I'll bite.

Who did you choose for Snape and Rita and will they have lots of UST, and how can Snape possibly be in Takurazuka - he doesn't wear shiny things ? :D

That's Rita in my icon. Izumo Aya. She's the only musumeyaku in Takarazuka with the sort of fascinatingly rounded figure necessary to the role; in addition to which she has a glorious voice and a real talent for playing a) interfering busybodies and b) manipulative plotters-of-doom. She's also accustomed to assuming unnatural hair colours. Oh, and nice legs.

Snape is Ebira Kaoru. I don't have a good picture of her that shows her Snapiness, but believe me, it's in there. I saw her several times just striding around Takarazuka, all in black, her face set in something almost like a scowl. I was scared to say hello. I pointed her out to the friend I was with, who ought to have known her and instead said, "I thought that was a man!"

I'm now trying to settle upon a McGonagall. It's a difficult business. I keep wanting to put an otokoyaku in a skirt, just because that's my default way of solving all life's problems, but if the field were opened to include retired 'siennes... Natsukawa Yura. She looks severely elegant, but her reality is somewhat more complicated. She can do comedy -- she can be ferocious! -- and she can tango like you wouldn't believe.

Dumbledore should probably be Ishii-sama. <3 She's nearly a hundred years old and doesn't perform very often, but Dumbledore tends not to have a very active part and it would certainly be in line with the Celestial Kings she usually appears as these days. She's the elder statesman of Takarazuka.

And now I need a role for Hacchi-san. Inconceivable that she should not be involved. She could be a man or a woman and looks very good in white tie and tails.

And Kuni-san too. Any thoughts for a nice, proper middle-aged lady who is capable of a great deal of restrained chic?

And oh, God, Yashiro-san. She must have a part. !!!

ROFL - funny you should say that. My friend still thinks Patricia Routledge should play Dolores Umbridge.

Hee! I can totally see that!

She's certainly got a bit more Dolores chubbiness than Imelda Staunton.

The two women enjoy a thoroughly malicious gossip session. They both go to pick up the same cucumber sandwich at the same time. Hands brush, eyes meet. Tacky hats go flying. Things go downhill from there.

Really, the thing practically writes itself. XD

I'm far more worried about the fact that the pairing seems so...inevitable? ;)
