OMG day off

Oh, I love days off. As much as I didn't want to get up today when my alarm went off and I finally became conscious of it (approximately an hour after I'd actually set it - I have no idea how many times I hit snooze, or if I just slept through the radio blaring in my ear), after roughly four-five hours of sleep, I'm glad I showered when I woke and stayed up after taking the car to the machanic.
It's such a beautiful day, and I've extension-corded my laptop outside, so now I'm sitting in the shade with my feet up on one of the backyard chairs, computer on my lap, and the sky is very blue and there's a breeze blowing and the pool looks inviting. Not that I'll go in, because that would require too much effort, and also my hair only just dried.
I just finished reading Camelot's Shadow by Sarah Zettel, which I bought years ago but never actually read (mostly because I remember, the first time I picked it up, that I was on a crime fiction kick and didn't want to read Arthurian romance). I really enjoyed it, actually, and god, I love Arthurian mythology. Zettel played rather well with the story of Gawain and the Green Knight. I love her work. I loved the Isavalta trilogy even more, which uses a lot of Russian, Chinese, and, I think, Indian folklore? Can't quite remember the last, but it's very rich and beautiful.
Anyway, off to write tags and fic, but I just needed to gloat about how relaxed and comfortable I am, after whining about being tired last night.
