Date: 2009-02-05 10:32 am (UTC)Hello, I just got this in my inbox, and remembered that you like Mr Irvine, so thought I should share (just in case you're not already aware of it):
" Contemporary Fiction Festival - Sunday 5 April
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the blogging revolutionThis year's festival will be bigger than ever with practical panels on everything from writing a blog to writing a blockbuster.
Speakers include ***Ian Irvine***, author of the bestselling Three World's Cycle, Anthony Lowenstein, author of The Blogging Revolution and award-winning authors James Bradley, Georgia Blain, Gabrielle Carey, Tom Gilling and more.
The festival will also include a First Page competition, with anonymous entries from festival attendees to be judged by a panel of literary agents and publishers live at the festival.
There will be lunchtime readings under the jacaranda and free writing consultations for new and renewing members who take out a multi-year membership on the day. Stay tuned."
(This event, of course, is taking place in Sydney.)
And now, back to the shadows for me.
