Fun With My Leading Ladies of British Cinema

So, some time ago now, I had a poll because I couldn't possibly form an opinion on who was the best actress out of these four and wanted to see what my flist thought. The last time, the answer was a resounding shout in favour of one of them, but I'm curious as to whether my flist demographic, or their opinion, has changed.

And then I had an even more amusing idea, inspired by chickfight. Picking four kickass characters played by these women, I wonder who would win. I was going to put them all together, but I decided to split it into two polls, one for the ladies with magical powers and one for those without. We'll see who wins, then I'll post a winners battle later this week.

The contenders are: Minerva McGonagall (Harry Potter) and Queen Mab (Merlin), and M (James Bond) and Rose (Shadowboxer).

There are probably ways to break it up to make it easier - funniest, most versatile, etc. But it interests me to see who people choose when they have tp pick one. The result is different this time than it was a few years ago.

I have no idea who these Mab and Rose women are, but I'm hard pressed to imagine anyone winning against either Minerva or M. Call me biased... /g/

Well, Mab is a Fey Goddess, so she has a sort of elemental type of magic. When she gets angry she tends to make things shake or clouds roll in or wind howl or the like. We don't get to see her do anything epic like earthquakes or anything, though it's possible she might be able to. She can throw fireballs and make arrows shoot out of her fingers and stuff like that, though, so I think Mab vs. Min would be a pretty epic duel to watch.

And as for M vs. Rose, well, Rose is a trained assassin, so I guess it just depends on whether you believe M knows how to use all those awesome guns and gadgets that M16 would equip her with. Was she a suit-wearing, gadget carrying, gun-in-the handbag spy before she became head of M16, or a clever political mind who rose through the beauracracy?
