1 Good, 1 Bad

Good: I hosted quite a successful baby shower today. I've never been the hostess before. It was quite awesome. It felt good. Not least because I wasn't the focus of the attention/worried that no one would show up because everyone hates me/insert-ridiculous-social-hysteria-here. FYI for anyone hosting a baby shower in the near or distant future - 'pin the sperm on the egg' is heaps of fun. And CLASSY. Obviously.

Bad: Why, why, WHY do I never save my work in photoshop? It doesn't matter so much when you're making icons, but when you're working on something big, like a header, that you're making for someone else, and it's looking mad awesome, and the you get 'RUNTIME ERROR GOING TO CLOSE NOW LOLZ SUCKS TO BE YOU', it's PAINFUL. I mean, I think I remember what I did? Sort of? And I guess I'll try again tomorrow and hopefully get it looking right again, but goddamn.

I haven't learned to save my work in photoshop either. But, as some sort of cruel twist of irony, I usually get the stupid runtime error when I decide to save so that I don't lose everything.

Photoshop does a lot of awesome things, but I can't forgive it for being so mean.

Also, pin the sperm on the egg sounds like loads of fun. I shall have to remember that one if I ever host a baby shower. :P

This is going to sound terrible, but I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only person who has moments of ridiculous social hysteria.

And unfortunately, I have no words of comfort to offer about Photoshop, except that I've often done the same thing with writing projects (ie, not saved and then lost them to the blue screen of death or something). But I always find that the reconstruction takes far less time than the original, and often it's even better.
