Today's Little Moment of Zen

Stuck in traffic (again) this morning on my way to work, and I looked up to see a flock of cockatoos having a glorious time in the light rain, swinging on the street lights and swooping between them and nudging each other and wiggling their crests. It made me smile and quite forget the fact that I wanted to punch other drivers in the face (hey, shut up, I don't have caffeine until I arrive).

I don't know why anyone would want to put a bird in a cage.

I don't understand why anyone would cage a bird, either. It seems like such a miserable existence for a creature of air and freedom.
