So you guys I just saw the movie and

YAY:

RUFUS. Rufus opening the movie, and his ACCENT (wtf is it, actually, but its awesome anyways) and his little sigh of disappointment with the snitch, and bawww I wish there'd been more of him, but at least he got to be awesome.

LUCIUS AND SNAKEY OMG SNAKEY RIP. Seriously did he actually wibble because omg you guys, that was tragic and hilarious at the same time.

Auntie Muriel! Okay so she was more sort of amused and a little bit wise rather than caustic and a little bit drunk, BUT STILL. She totes butted into their conversation and was all RITA SKEETER IS AWESOME and ilu Auntie Muriel.

Neville! BAMF. Can't wait to see him in the next one.

Seriously omg Umbridge, and really that entire Ministry scene. The statue, fuck. Just seeing that actually brought to life, and then how delighted Umbridge is with it all without actually being a Deatheater. Seriously, she is so fucking creepy - so much creepier than Bellatrix because we know she isn't one of Voldie's people, she just seriously thinks that what was happening there was GOOD, and gah. I also absolutely loved all the little details related to her - the pink in the walls and the booklets and inside the office with her extra pairs of shoes and just all the detail there.

The pacing. I actually really liked the pacing of the film. It worked so much better than in the book. The camping sort of increased the tension/broke up the action sequences in a really nice way.

Hermione and her parents, and that entire opening sequence. Petunia in the car and THAT LOOK ON HER FACE, omg, like she had no lines at all but that one shot and you could feel her life falling apart around her right there.

BATHILDA WAS FUCKING DISTURBING SHIT OMG JUST LIKE I THOUGHT I WAS ACTUALLY MAKING THESE LITTLE SQUEAKING NOISES BEFORE THEY WENT IN THERE. AND EW THE FLIES OMG but also lol hitting Nagini with a brick and it doing nothing whatsoever except piss her off more.

DOBBY OMG you were funny and awesome and strong and then I bawled my eyes out, JUST LIKE IN THE BOOK. I am so glad that Dobby got his moment. A FREE ELF.

That Bellatrix/Hermione was actually really kind of awesome. I mean I didn't think they'd quite go there with it being that sexual but they really really did and whoah. Dude.

SNAPE. Seriously lulz at the fluffy wig aside (wtf, seriously), it is all there in his eyes in that first scene, omg. I don't know how they're ever going to have him cast that girly-ass patronus in a serious fashion, though.

WAH:

No McGonagall D:

Also I thought Rita was supposed to be IN this movie and not just like, fucking animations they took from GoF wtf. Is that it???? Because fuck you, WB, if it is and you got my hopes up about her maybe actually having a scene just for THAT.

WTF the Burrow was in tact again after burning it down? Seriously what the fuck was the point of the burn the Burrow scene in HBP, then?

Where was Fenrir? Seriously, I swear he was cast? Are they keeping him until part 2?

Randomly interesting:

Peter's reprieve. I wonder whether he's going to be in part 2, then, and if so, what his role will be.

Well, yeah, of course homes can be rebuilt, but there's always been emphasis on the fact that the Weasleys are poor, and y'know, I thought burning the house down was kind of wtf in HBP, but I could see how it would be absolutely devastating for the Weasleys because maybe they wouldn't have the money to rebuild their home. But then the Burrow is back without any mention of the fire? That just baffled me, that they put in a pointless action scene that wasn't in the book and then rendered it completely redundant within the first thirty seconds of the next film.

And Fenrir... was he? He didn't make much of an impact, for someone who was supposed to make a hell of an impact (and I sort of thought that mentioning him earlier in the film was there so the could introduce him later). Was he the one with the sword, then? I guess they thought that Bella brought enough crazy and bloodthirsty to that scene without adding his crazy, too. Fair enough, but I do hope we get to see him being scary in Part 2.

Yep, he just wasn't emphasized like he was in the book. Based on an interview with Nick Moran (Scabior), the scene when the Trio is first captured was too intense and uncomfortable and it had to be cut. Maybe Greyback doing the intimidation of Hermione was just too much. *shrug* The Snatcher with the sword was someone else.

Greyback is on the right, holding Hermione and Ron.
