Look at your LJ interests list. If you have fewer than 50 interests, pick every fifth one. If you have between 50 and 75, pick every seventh one. If you have more than 75, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than 10, pick them all. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly what it is about these things that interests you so much.
Abstract - Hard to say. Things that aren't spelled out for me mean that I have to go searching for meaning within them, which is something that I enjoy. I much prefer something subtle and insightful than something that hits you like a hammer blow.
Arts - Brings out the snob in me. I like enjoying things that a lot of people don't get.
Chris Manning ;) - LOL I have him in my interests. A man I've known for nearly two years now, probably my dearest online friend. I love him, and hopefully we'll always find things to say to each other. My life would not be quite what it is if it lacked this particular online relationship.
Crime Fiction - one of my favourite genres, and one that I write, also. I really enjoy a twisting and turning, fast paced thriller to take my midn off my day.
Fanfiction - a love. A way for me to practise my writing in ways that are essentially throw-away. I have more than four novel-length original works stored on my computer, all of which took a lot of love, effort, and world building, and all of which I read now and think how crap they are. This has a lot to with starting to write them at age 12, I believe, but I'm tired of putting so much effort into things only to hate them in two years time. Fanfiction is way to explore my writing skills, to explore language use at building character, to explore plot, to wait for my style to mature to a point that I'm NOT going to start hating it the minute after it's finished - I hope.
Goth Clothing - Lots of fun, a form of expression of some part of my inner self that wants to just say 'hey, look, I'm not the mainstream person you see me pretending to be'. I love to dress up, and I love corsets and bold colours and shiny fabrics. They make me feel beautiful, feminine, and different.
Ian Irvine - this is tough, but I think he's my favourite writer ever. The way he builds worls and creates characters and plays with traditional notions of 'good' and 'evil', the rich worlds and people of his novels, and the character's relationships are all absolutely wondeful. If you haven't read him, go and do so.
Live - my favourite band. I love their sound, but most of all theire lyrics. They are brave, and sing both about things that matter to the world and matter to them. I love their metaphor, and the way they often seem to mean everything and nothing at the same time.
Men - well, they can be good sometimes, I guess. :)
Movies - a fun pass-time.
PWP - In fandom, love. Hot writing that is not mindless, stupid porn like the kind you get on literotica.com, because we already have characterisations for these people, so have no need to describe them simply by the size of their breasts and cocks. The thinking woman's porn.
Shrek - Both the original and it's sequel are just a lot of fun, and very clever.
Tad Williams - Another one of my pet writers, as of recently. I ADORE his Otherland series, and am looking forward to seeking out his other work, when time permits me to do so.
