Have a Meme, you lot, and complete it for me. I will get a kick from knowing a meme I thought of got done by people :)
List your interests that aren't *linked* interests (ie no one else has them listed as interests) and tell your flist WHY more people should like them.
Adult hp characters - because this is where the really interesting stories are - the pasts, the scars from wars gone by, the previous relationships, the unexplored emotions. Harry is written about in canon in great detail, as are many of the younger characters. We know next to nothing about some of the adults, yet they can be so much more interesting. More people should love HP's older characters.
Aereon - seriously. This character from The Chronicles of Riddick is absolute love. Aside from the fact that she's played by Judi Dench (or probabaly because of that fact, because of the unspoken depth she brings to the character) she is amazingly well done. The cheeky little facial expressions that play across her features, that sense of lightness is so in keeping with the air elemental. The contrast between her soft spoken, steady words, claiming neutrality, and the tightness of her features at the mention of destroying her homeland, and her clear jubilation at Riddick's victories.
Britney spears hate - because hating Shitney is fun. More people should indulge their inner bitch.
Chris manning ;) - *licks him* Because you are awesomely awesome, mister Christofah, and I love you dearly. My online and offlien life would not be quite the same if I hadn't met you.
hp/mm / mm/hp / minerva/harry - Because intelligent women are sexy, and Minerva is certainly that. Because youth is not necessarily beauty, and it is possible to find comfort where you keast would have expected. Because Harry has been forced by circumstances to be a somewhat open-minded person, and, especially in HBP, we can see him becoming a man. Because Minerva needs some love, and clearly has a soft spot for her Gryffindors. Because she has shown a candidness with Harry we do not get to see her give in other situations. Because I believe that Minerva may find an adult Harry attractive, and love the tenderness that writing a relationship between them can have.
Isavalta / Medeoan - Because the Isavalta trilogy is magnificent. Medeoan is a fantastic character, painted in the first volume as a bitter, old, morally reprehensible woman who is essentially the villain of the story, but is pained and broken and completely ambiguous. The second volume proceeds to turn her into the hero of the narrative, taking it back in time, and providing a context for who she becomes in the future. Explaining, but not excusing. Wonderful, wonderful character.
Minerva/Remus / mm/rl - Because intelligent women are sexy, and Minerva is certainly that. Because youth is not necessarily beauty, and it is possible to find comfort where you keast would have expected. Because Remus has been forced by circumstances to be an open-minded person, and both these characters are used to being voices of wisdom and reason. Both have subtle senses of humour, and both could find happiness together.
Minerva/Sybill - Opposites attract, and all that. I find their relationship amusing, sometimes, because of its comical potential, but theraputic at other times, because of the ability that two characters so completely different from each other might have for completely understanding each other. Especially in the wake of OotP, uniing against a shared enemy and finding common ground they didn't know they had.
Minerva/Xiomara - all other variations of this pairing exist in linked interests. So simply this: Because the name Xiomara beats the hell out of Rolanda.
Valla park - best holiday escape ever. Always associated with meeting up with friends, freedom, and good times. I wish more people could appreciate and understand it, though I'm sure we all have our favoutite holiday destinations.

Date: 2005-09-14 09:38 pm (UTC)I agree - Minerva needs love! I mean, JKR was pairing everyone else up at the end of HBP, so why not Minerva? Sigh...
